Transform administration: faster, smarter, future-ready

From outdated systems to a modern, automated platform for financial and payroll administration.

At BANVO, we believe that administration and tax advisory firms are only future-proof if data is used intelligently. This requires solutions that not only automate, but are also scalable, secure, and reliable. In our collaboration with Mountain Platform, we found exactly that.  

The case began with one of our affiliated firms, Etcijfera, which has multiple supermarkets as clients. Although this administration was already highly automated, the need arose to bring together various data sources, administrations, and purchasing flows into a single integrated data platform — without manual interventions. Mountain Platform realized this based on Microsoft Fabric and Azure, using Pyspark for scalable data transformation. 

The result was more than just automation. The platform actively detects anomalies and potential errors based on historical and real-time comparisons. This makes inconsistencies visible early on and enables Etcijfera to provide faster and better advice. In this way, employees are freed up for analysis and advisory tasks.  

In total, more than 20 processes have been automated, including: 

  • Processing cash statements and journal entries, 
  • Generating and sending SEPA payment files, 
  • Payroll and document workflows, 
  • Document management flows and internal workflows 
  • Central logging & monitoring  

The approach at Etcijfera has served as a pilot within BANVO for further scalable application. Meanwhile, Mountain Platform also supports us in developing an overarching data platform for BANVO itself, including a Power BI dashboard for Mijn BANVO and management information for the offices.
